NOW For some great dessert..
Doesn't this look yummy?????? It tastes even better & it's the easiest, fastest dessertto do. It's such a fun great Summer dessert.
This Cherry Cobbler is topped with vanilla bean
ice cream (and it could be apple/peach or just
about any type of fruit )
This recipe came from a dear friends mother.
It only has 3 ingredients to boot.....Recipe1 reg. size can Comstock pie filling (cherry or apple)1/2 box of white or yellow cake mix1/2 c. butter (1 cube) meltedIn a 8"x8" square pan (that has been buttered orsprayed with Pam) pour the can of pie filling intoit.Sprinkle 1/2 the box of cake mix evenly over thepie filling.Pour approx. 1/2 c. (1 whole cube) of meltedbutter as evenly as possible over the cake mix (I used a Tbsp to make it easier)Bake @ 350F. for 25min.
This is how it looked after coming out of the oven.Add the "a la mode" ice cream and that's it......NOTE: (I made some changes for this recipe) **********I used a 11 x 7 1/2" glass pan because Iknew I needed more servings than an 8x8 wouldyield.**********I used a large can (30 oz.) of Pie fillingand all of the cake mix (I didn't want any leftover)**********I used the same amount of melted butter as the recipe
Doesn't this look yummy?????? It tastes even better & it's the easiest, fastest dessertto do. We went to a dinner party at somefriends house tonite and this is what I brought. They had us make individual pizzas, with a huge assortment of toppings and ourgreat host/chef barbecued them in his wonderfuloutdoor Bar-B-Q pit/grill restaurant type patio(which he built himself I might add) He & his wife are amazing and their food absolutely delicious. That was probably theBEST pizza I've ever had.....Wow!Anyway sorry about digressing....This CherryCobbler topped with vanilla bean ice cream(and it could be apple or just about anytype of fruit probably) recipe came from a dear friends mother.
