Christmas Tour 2010 Front/Liv Room/Blog Hop

So glad you could join our 2nd day of our Home
Tour..The Front Porch/Living Room.
Yes we are having a Blog Hop @ the end..

Below is the pic of the Front of our house with
probably 100 candy canes/thousand of lights
& our spotlighted reindeer's/trees.

I love the front door of oval glass (a gift from
my daughters a few yrs back) So a BIG WARM
WELCOME to my HOME..

These are some of the items I have on the
porch.

I have 2 Huge Silk Poinsettias at the door

which dress it up a lot.

(Below) This is a mat that I made a lot of yrs. ago.

It's sorta like cross-stitch..& has worn pretty well.

I love this little gingerbread type house..

My front window is one of my fav things with 2

adorable snowmen & a skate "Welcome to the

Warming House" Sign..I got the sign @ Target

yrs ago..& the snowmen @ Walmart yrs ago.

This tall wooden Santa I made at one of our

Super Saturdays at church..

As we enter the house we see a wonderful 3'

Santa's Sleigh (that my sister got me for

Christmas yrs ago) It's one of my all time

Favorite things. I love the "Polar Express"

Santa" which talks about the Believe Bell &

the Magic of Christmas!

I love it! It's so much FUN!

I always Love Carolers & the Dickens Englishness

of these particular carolers.

Where my Nativity Collection is.

Like I said before I love carolers..especially

this wonderful girl caroler & English Lamp

post. She is still working after 15+ yrs. I got

her @ Costco..Also the beautiful Angel Wall-

hanging yrs ago.

Below is our real Christmas tree..We have

a real one in the living room & artfcial tree

in the family room (I'll show you in a couple

days) Looking to the right is part of my

Nativity Collection.

This is a small wisemen pillow I made

years ago.

One of my favorite things is the Welcome sign

from Solvang, Ca. Swedish Village & the great

manger scene quilt a friend of mine made.

Another favoite thing I love is my Willow

Tree Manger scene & the stacker (I made)

& the Vinyl tile I sell on Etsy.

This Manger scene I got while I lived in Australia

for 1 1/2 yrs. it holds special memories..

I love this wisemen photo & branch twig.

Especially this scene I love because of how

the Savior looks over the city of Jerusalum.

Also the Vinyl charger below of Wise men still

seek him. I make these to sell.

Christmas Home Tour 2010 (Village)

CHRISTMAS VILLAGES..Aren't they great??
My mom had one when I was growing up &
it was humble, simple, & everyone loved it.
Nothing like the fantastic ones of today..I have
seen small ones, large ones..even one that took
about 3 levels to do!! But they are all beautiful
in my opinion...

Mine started small but grew each year as I
added houses, school, church, people, trees
& memorable items that I would treasure
from various places (Solvang..etc.)

It's grown from about a couple of feet to
about 10ft. It has its own little personality
of a Christmas Village. How about you?
Did your mom or do you now have a
Christmas Village??

1) This is the main part of my village,
with all the buildings, people, trees, etc.
Each year it looks a little different..
This year is my favorite. My daughter
set it up for me..it takes a long time!

2) (BELOW) This is my countdown to
Christmas Advent Calender Chalet...
One of my all time favorite things. I found
it years ago @ Costco. It had a candy behind
each date (door) but I took Christmas Cards
of friends from years past & glued them in
each box so it reminds me of the wonderful
friendships I have as well as a great Christmas
Countdown Swiss Chalet..

It makes me feel like I'm in an Alpine Village
in Switzerland or something!

3) This is a good view of the village. (BELOW)

I love the Village Square Sign in the middle &

all the carolers (Below)

6) I love the windmill we got from the Swedish

Village in California called Solvang..and the

skaters on the pond.

I love this time of year probably more than

see the most softening of peoples hearts toward
one another.

trying to get ready for our own Family

Monday Blog Hop/Walk of Fame

Welcome to Santa's Gift Shoppe..Wow what
a week!! 20 hour work days to get the Christmas
Boutique ready.. Everyone had a great time &
loved the sights, sounds, & smells of the season.
Hopefully everyone felt the most important part
of it all..the "Spirit of the season." Anyway in
coming days/weeks I will give you a tour of
some rooms throughout the house. Thanks
to all who helped out and came..

These are the one stroke hand-painted
ornaments that were @ the Boutique.
I love to paint these..They never disappoint..

My NEW favorite to make ornaments are the
Polka dot Monogram ornaments. I love to make these
as well..I love the Pink/Lime Green colors &
perkiness of them..They are so much fun!!
